News | More success for the Girls Pathway

Written : Tuesday 20th Oct 26

On 11th October three of our U9 Girls and one of our U10s joined Beccehamians and a Canterbury-Dorking-Beccehamians BaaBaa team respectively at the Bromley Minis festival for their first taste of competitive contact rugby. All of them did the club proud, with specific praise for our positive running, dogged defence and increasingly confident tackling. The U9s won two games and the U10s aren't sure of the results as none of the players were keeping track. Abi, Darcey and Rosa all excelled within their U9 team and Rosa in her first ever festival was voted player of the tournament. And in an equally impressive performance Erin was voted U10 Player of the tournament even as the only Guildfordian in a big mixed team and in her first ever matches. So proud of all of them. Huge congratulations to the girls and big thanks to David, Peter and Dan for coaching and looking after them in what must have been a fairly daunting first festival together.

U11-12 Girls away at Guildford next Sunday. Here's hoping we can maintain our strong start to the season.
