After many of the squad had been to The Twickenham Allianz Stadium to watch the Red Roses claim their world championship crown, The "Gertrudes" (self titled name for the U14 Girls Squad) excitedly took to the pitch for their first festival of the season at Cobham. The U14's had a new look this season, having been joined by 4 from last year's U12 players as well as two brand new players. The Annual GUILDFORDIAN GIRLS festival is taking place on October 12th,with around 750 Girls .all playing rugby with their mates.

Estella and her Scottish teammates enjoyed a 21 v 12 win over England, in the U18’s Six Nations this week at Wellington College.
Estella was playing against her Guildfordian teammate Seren ,who was representing England.
Joe,Estella’s Dad has said,
“ Guildfordians has been a hugely positive and transformational part of Estella's life”

COB + Seren both have received their first caps for England this week ,at Wellington college .
Both Girls have played in matches this week for England and with a final match v France on Saturday.
COB has been with Guildfordians since aged 3 and Seren our 'Jersey Bean ' joined this season.

5 of the amazing U18 Guildfordians Girls enjoyed a final run out ,with the Rachel Burford PDG Squad at Burton on Trent this week.
The squad had a full Guildfordians front row of
Lils,Keira +Iona.
They won 3 and drew 1 match.

The amazing U18’s Guildfordians Girls will be playing in the Surrey Cup final again, for the third year running at The Stoop, which is becoming like a second home for these girls.

Two of the Guildfordians U16’s Girls squad ,have been selected for The U16’s Surrey County squad to play against ,Kent on Dec 1st,Sussex on Jan 12th and Hampshire on Feb 16th.

The U18's Surrey County squad have selected, five of our amazing Guildfordians Girls for the 2024-25 County Squad.
They will be representing their County in matches against Kent on Dec 1st 2024,Sussex on Jan 12th 2025, and Hampshire on Feb 16th 2025.

The U18's Guildfordians Girls had a convincing win, against a well organised Wimbledon RFC team ,in their final pool match of the National Cup.

The Cranfordians made a spirited debut in their first ever league game against the experienced Didcot Valkyries on Sunday. Right from the opening whistle, Melissa Anderson set the tone for Cranfordians with an excellent drop kick, allowing the team to start the game deep in Didcot territory. The forwards held a solid defensive line early on, keeping Didcot’s advances at bay.

Girls’ rugby is one of the fastest growing female sports since 2013 and it continues to grow across the country following the continued success of the England Women’s team The Red Roses.
We are extremely lucky to have Leanne Infante (Riley) a Harlequins, Saracens and Red Rose, involved with our girls section both on and off the field.
Leanne set up the girls’ section in 2016 where we started with 25-30 girls varied from aged 7-17. We have since grown this to 70+ girls from aged 9-18, running 4 competitive teams in Surrey competitions.
RFU Age Grade ProgressionDuring the 2021-2022 season our U13 girls were competitive amongst the Surrey Waterfall Cup rounds and hosted/travelled to many friendly fixtures throughout the season. They rounded the season off by being unbeaten on tour in Worcestershire and enjoyed a great team bonding cool off at Liquid Leisure this Summer.
Our U16 and U18 squads competed in the National Cup for the second year running, travelling further afield for matches and playing new squads for the first time was the ultimate adaptation test and both teams fought strongly.
Joining Guildfordians RFC Girls is a great way to get active and try a new sport, meet new people, become part of a thriving and friendly team, but also part of a connected girls rugby section who show support and encouragement across all age groups. We pride ourselves on welcoming new players into our club, whether you have never picked up a rugby ball before, to having years of experience – we will look after you!
For the 2025-2026 season we have U12s, U14s, U16s & U18s girls teams. A child’s age group is determined by their age at midnight on 31st August.
We offer all new players 3 free taster sessions so that they can decide if they would like to play rugby.
The 2025-26 season starts on
Sunday 7th September come along and Pitch Up for Rugby, get in contact and come and join our awesome girls!
Our next Girls Festival will be held on Sunday 12th October.
We provide a safe and enjoyable environment to help develop players. Our focus as coaches is to develop players to be better next week than they were in the previous week, to be part of a team, have fun and enjoy rugby.
