News | Year 3&4 Tag/Touch festival at Stoke Park

Written : Sunday 11th Oct 26

Following on from the Girls school experience., we had the year 3&4 tag/touch festival at Stoke Park on Thursday 8th October, with Boxgrove, Burphum, Holy Trinity, Worplesdon, Send, Northmead & Queen Eleanor

With the schools arriving between 3:30 – 3:50, the time was used to run through basic passing skills

The schools then played matches over 4 pitches with most teams having 4 or 5 games over the hour with 1 team having a rest/coaching experience

As ever with these events the standard is varied but the most important aim is for the children to get a taste of Rugby and to have a fun experience, and these could not be put on without the help of the Guildfordians Coaches & Volunteers.

A massive thankyou must go to Jodie, Ian, Neil, Simon, Trevor, Mark & Dempsey for giving their time, experience & enthusiasm to make it an enjoyable event

The Next one planned is for Year 5&6 on the 11th February
