Written : Thursday 16th Oct 25This year was the 6th girls festival at Guildfordians with over 40 visiting teams in attendance across the day, around 700 girls competing and lots of trophies up for grabs. The event is the biggest girls rugby event in Surrey and has a strong reputation, something we are very proud of with a number of clubs returning year on year, whilst attracting new teams from further afield as we grow.
Our girls showcased some fantastic rugby across all age groups with the U12 and U14’s coming together with another team to work together for the first time, the U16’s playing some familiar local faces in a friendly setting over competition, and finally our U18’s narrowly losing the Cup Final to Pulborough in a hard fought match.
We want to extend our thanks to all those parents that rocked up at 6:45am and were still present at 5:30pm setting up and taking it all down, along with all the other helpers throughout the day (parent helpers, but in particular our club referees who did a phenomenal job, once again)! The festival cannot run without you and we are grateful for your time and generosity.
