Written : Saturday 3rd May 25The Minis closed the season last Sunday, the Micros and U6’s in the sun at Stoke Park and the U7’s - U11’s at the Effingham & Leatherhead RFC Festival. The Festival was enjoyed by everyone, a real party atmosphere with music playing, BBQ, ice-cream van, amazing weather and even an Eagle to present the medals.
It was amazing to see how all the children have progressed throughout the season with great rugby being played and great sportsmanship being shown.
Thank you to all the coaches and admins who give up their time during the rugby season to support and nurture the children, it is greatly appreciated by the Club.
Thank you also to the parents for ensuring their children are able to attend weekly training and Festivals, it really is a team effort.
Good luck to the U11s with their festival this weekend and the move to Juniors. Thank you for organising a fabulous festival, the current U10’s have a to tough act to follow.
Please can the Minis Coaches and Admins ensure that all kit (balls, bibs, cones and bags, etc.) are cleaned ready to be passed on in September. Please check in the ball trolley room as there are lots of balls that need to be returned to the relevant age group. The clubhouse should be open most Sunday mornings in May if you would like to collect or return kit.
I am looking into the calendar for the 2025/2026 season. Please do not hesitate to email me (minis.fixtures@grfc.co.uk) if you have any questions about any of the above or fixtures for next season.
Thank you again for your help and support.
