The team had a wide range of experience and opportunities for all, with Duane, Jaiden and Jared making their Bison debut. The team also demonstrated strong leadership with Holly and Raf taking control in the mids along with support from Christian, Niall and Jose.
Surrey Bisons played game 1 against Invicta Touch Club (Canterbury). Bisons were finding their feet and fought hard but it ended as a 4-3 win for Invicta. Game 2 was a loss against London Eagles, 5-1. Game 3 was another close game but ended as a loss against Wolves Touch Rugby (London) 1-0.
In game 4 the team found their form with a win against the University of Surrey Touch Club, with a 3-2 score. Our debutants shone in this game with an intercept and full pitch sprint from Jared to score and an unnecessary dive to score from Duane.
Game 5 was another close fought game, but ended with a loss to Farnham Touch Rugby club, with a 3-2 score. The final game was against the home side, Horsham Tigers Touch, and it was an evenly matched game with a 1-1 draw.
Good weather and good vibes all day. Winners are grinners.
