Written : Wednesday 2nd Aug 23I joined Guildfordians when I was a student as Surrey Uni and loved every minute of it. There was something about playing with a group of men that weren’t playing to be the best or to increase their social standing but playing to for the love of the game and their teammates. After graduating I had to move away from the Surrey area for a few years. I sampled some other clubs where I was located but nothing could emulate the Guildfordians experience. When I moved to Woking, I was delighted that I could once again play my rugby on Stoke Park. Some of the faces changed, some stayed the same, but it still was the club that I grew to love.
As the new chairman of the men’s section, I look forward to continuing the legacy of this great club. The players/members are what makes the club, and my ambition is to grow the family whilst keeping our reputation as the best and friendliest club around.
