Guildfordians Walking Rugby will be holding a Mutts & Mongrels session on Saturday 24th September. Clubs from Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex are invited to bring along as many or as few players as they like to an informal turn up and play event. Rather than play in their club teams all players will join mixed barbarians-style teams and play a few games together before moving to the bar for some lunch. We’re hoping that clubs which don’t yet have their own Walking Rugby sections will send a few people along to give it a go.
Pick a card to find out who your team mates will be from a selection of clubs invited to join us at Stoke Park. Fun, mixed team walking rugby matches followed by food and drink at the clubhouse. An ideal opportunity to give walking rugby a go for the first time :)
Walking Rugby is probably the most inclusive rugby format to be played in a Guildfordians shirt and was launched in 2018. The sport is growing rapidly in popularity across the UK and Ireland as a non-contact game open to adults of all ages, genders and abilities. Our current squad includes members from their mid-20s to mid-70s.
