We are pleased to let you know that Socious Sports will be running a rugby camp at Guildfordians RFC. This is a 5 day course starting on the 24th July costing £130.00 for the 5 days.
The course will be delivered with coaches flown over from the Southern Hemisphere, whilst being coached under the RFU guidelines, it will be delivered with skills that are taught back home in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. At the end of the week before the parents v kids match, the players will deliver the NZ Haka as a challenge.
The hours are 9.30 AM till 3.15 PM Monday to Friday, they just need a packed lunch.
More details can be found for the summer course below:
The course will be focusing more on the fun and games side of things as it has been a long season.
Bookings have already started arriving for this course, but if you have not yet booked and you wish to, then please click on the link above.
These five day workshops are open to children of all ages and will incorporate all aspects of the great game of rugby.
This summer we once again have coaches flown over from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa and they will be at your club for the entire week.
For those playing U6 or U7 this season we have a program designed to develop the Core Skills and build confidence. Lots of fun rugby games will be used to teach those skills that form the foundation of great rugby players.
For players who are playing Under 8's we will be focusing on how to tackle and be tackled.
For U9s, we will be introducing them to the ruck, maul and uncontested scrums.
The current U10s will increase the size of the ruck to 2 v 2, a 3 man maul, a contested hook in the scrum and how to kick.
The Under 11's we have 5 days of full contact rugby covering everything - including how to tackle, how to receive a tackle, taking the ball into contact, contact avoidance, clearing out, rucking & mauling etc. The course will be intense and hard work but you will come out of it tackling with confidence.
For players from the Under 12’s to Under 16’s we have a contact focused camp that will keep each player motivated and learning throughout the course. Position specific coaching, game sense, team tactics and other age appropriate skills will all play their part.
Each day starts at 9.30AM and finishes at 3.15PM.

As part of our effort to clean and improve the facilities at our clubhouse we need volunteers to help out at RugbyForce weekend:
Saturday 24th come and watch the Lions, experience a Dempsey bacon roll and give us an hour of your time to jet wash and clean the changing rooms.
Sunday 25th clubhouse open from 10 am, we need help to paint, clean, repair, remove weeds and smarten up the building.
Please spare us a small amount of your valuable weekend time to benefit the players and supporters for the coming season. Please forward your availability to Trevor at: email@example.com
*We do have a couple of plumbing and electrical jobs, do you have the ability to help with these or do you know anyone willing to do so, please let us know.

Congratulations to our U21s for getting to the final of the U21s Shield competition in the first year that the club have entered the competition.
It has been a tough competition as the teams we have played so far have contained a lot older players U21s and U20s and our team are mainly U19s, with some U18s and U17s who have played really well to get to this point.
Our U21s are playing at Dorking RFC (Kiln Ln, Brockham, Betchworth RH3 7LZ) against Old Walcountians on Easter Monday - 17th April kicking off at 12:00
If you would like to watch some rugby this weekend the team would really appreciate your support.
